What Happens in Miami...

Viva Miami! ♥

A couple of weeks ago, three of my friends and I got back from a fantastic week away. Even if we didn't do anything at all, I swear, spending quality time with an ocean did my soul some good, I tell you.

Sand beneath my feet, sun toasting my skin, peace washing over me like so many ebbing and flowing ocean waves... my idea of heaven.

I have been meaning to post pics of the vacation, but I can't even begin to tell you how crazy it's been since I got back. I've had six media assignments, samba rehearsals and performances, and volunteering at the Atlanta Humane Society... plus my regular job! I am exhausted, and I already need another vacation!

OK, considering how overdue this post is, I'll just allow the pictures to do the talking.

Did you peep those two luggage racks, staggering under the weight of piles of suitcases and whatnot?

Yeah. Four women traveling for a week need lots of supplies, LOL.

Our trip started off with a splash, lol:

And we spent some time at a ubiquitous Miami apartment rooftop pool:

We also went to Miami's Carnival, and had a great time dancing among the colorful plumage:

We got in the carnival spirit with colorful eyeshadow, thanks to T's makeup artistry:

And we cleaned up pretty cute for a couple nights of Miami clubbing:

One day, Jenelle and I rode in an airboat through a freshwater marsh to look for alligators:

We also checked out the adorable (and very old) turtles!

A dragonfly landed on J's lap and hung out for a while:

But my true love will always be the beach.
