Have you been to Paolo's Gelato Italiano in Virginia-Highland?

It has seriously become my guilty pleasure, plying me with as many cones, cannolis, coffees, candies, cookies, custards, and crepes as my heart (and waistline) can handle.

If you ask me, a little taste of authentic Italy is well worth a few extra minutes on the treadmill!

Paolo's specializes in gelato, offering a hefty 62 flavors of creamy, smooth, dense Italian ice cream in flavors like straciatella, biscotti, dark chocolate, egg custard, and hazelnut. If you please, there are also sorbet-inspired fruit flavors like fig, mandarin orange, lemon, strawberry, and peach, among tons of others, all of which are handmade and change seasonally.

Because it's true, you'll spend a pretty penny in this place, and some Yelp reviewers have considered it delish but over-priced. I say, if you tickle my tastebuds properly, I'll work with you on price.
