A few weeks ago, one of my favorite photographers in Atlanta, Paul Biagui, asked me if we could collaborate on a street style photo shoot.
In our couple years of knowing each other, he’s captured some sweet moments in my life; he was the event photographer at my very first samba show (I’m wearing the white costume)…
… as well as the photo that has been my blog avatar for years.
He was launching an online magazine soon, and he wanted me to be in it. Since I love writing about Atlanta’s street art so much, we came up with the concept of taking photos together in front of some of my favorite murals.
Here are a few pics from our shoot! Styling done by me from my closet.
My new favorite shoes.
Closeup on the accessories, all of which happen to be Drea James.
Personally, I think there’s always time for a shimmy.
This cartoon bag from Jump from Paper is one of my most favorite additions to my wardrobe. It looks 2D, doesn’t it?
And here I switched bags to the one that I made, my beloved DIY magazine bag.
All in all, an excellent shoot. Paul is the best.
