Caffeine & Octane Car Show

Can you feel that rumble?

That engine roaring?

That twinge of euphoria that shimmies up your spine when a perfectly-restored classic car purr past you, stealthy as a leopard?

If you haven’t felt that in a while, my friends, then there’s no better place in Atlanta to experience it than at Caffeine & Octane.

Caffeine and Octane

Caffeine & Octane is a nationally-recognized “all makes, all models” car show that regularly attracts a combination of over 500 amazing muscle, classic, luxury, high performance, exotic, and many other one of a kind, unique vehicles.

Held on the first Sunday of every month, it’s free to attend, with 500 spots available for special cars to be displayed and plenty of free parking available for spectators (like me!).

I love to look at sexy, lovingly-restored, and highly customized vehicles, so I had a fantastic time at Caffeine & Octane. My pics were taken at its former location in Alpharetta, but you can definitely get a feel for the event, and then put it on your calendar for upcoming months.

Did I mention that the show starts at the crack of dawn?? Yep, 8 am to 11 am. Hence the “caffeine” in the title. Still, the crowds that this show attracts are enormous; there are sponsors and everything.

But seriously, 8 am? On a Sunday?? You’ve really got to love cars to be up and out of the house at that hour.

car events are too early

The great thing about this event is that the car owners are right next to their cars, so you can talk to them about the customizations they made to their vehicles. Some of them have even printed out binders so you can see photos of their process in restoring the car or the parts they installed. In that way, it’s easy to strike up a conversation with like-minded people about a topic you love.

Thanks for sharing this…didn’t know about it and I LOVE a great car show! You’re right though…8am is a bit on the early side, but looks like it’s worth it. Nice pix, too!

Thanks Travis. 8 am is definitely early, but you can arrive at anytime between 8 and 11, so it’s doable, albeit much more crowded the later you arrive. Strolling among such amazing cars is like being in a high-octane candy store. :-))
